Job Type: Contract

Duration: 6 months

Location: Austin (N Central), TX

Duties: The Technical Writer writes and/or revises a variety of technical manuals for airline customers which includes, but is not limited to, Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Component Maintenance Manuals, and Flight Operations Manuals. Responsible for taking marked up documents and authoring the changes into production manuals. May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of manuals.

Requirements:

• 0-2 years of experience in the field of aviation technical authoring
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within aviation maintenance and flight operations manuals
• Working knowledge of MS Products such as Word, Excel, Access, Outlook

Preference: XML/SGML experience
